Stephen Kayongo

Stephen Kayongo currently serves as the Laboratory Operations and Facilities Manager at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since March 2023. Prior to this role, Stephen held various positions at Abbott from November 2016 to March 2023 as a Laboratory Operations Manager, and at Alere Inc. as Acting Laboratory Operations Manager and Confirmations Manager from May 2014 to November 2016. Stephen's career began at LGC, where responsibilities included Casework Team Leader and Forensic Toxicologist from August 2011 to May 2014. Previous experience also includes work as a Forensic Toxicologist at the Forensic Science Service and LGC Limited. Stephen earned a Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology from the University of Westminster from August 1999 to June 2002.
