Stephen Schoepke

Stephen Schoepke, a certified information systems security professional (CISSP) and certified information privacy professional (CIPP/US), serves as the Associate Director of Information Security and Senior Privacy Engineer at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since September 2019. Prior to this role, Stephen held multiple positions at the International Association of Privacy Professionals from March 2011 to June 2019, including IT Director and Web Design & Development Manager. Stephen also gained freelance experience as a Software Developer at sschoepke.com and worked as a Software Developer on contract with Five Line Creative. Early in the career, Stephen served as a Financial Counselor at 21st Mortgage Corporation. Academically, Stephen earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and a Master’s in Professional Writing from Chatham University.
