Xiaohuan Wu

Xiaohuan Wu is a highly experienced formulation senior research scientist currently at Vertex Pharmaceuticals since September 2025. Prior experience includes serving as a senior scientist in drug product development at Foghorn Therapeutics Inc., where a drug delivery laboratory was launched for formulation development of proprietary protein degraders. Previous roles encompass senior scientist at Phosphorex, focusing on process development and scale-up of lipid nanoparticle formulations, and scientist at Zennova LLC, involved in the development of a complex generic drug product. Xiaohuan Wu earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry from Rutgers University, where research included bioactivity investigations of recombinant human bone morphogenetic protein 2 and bioconjugation studies during graduate rotations. Additionally, experience includes instructing undergraduate students in organic synthesis and analytical techniques. A Bachelor of Science in Applied Chemistry was obtained from Shanxi University.
