Anita Fischer

Anita (Espino) Fischer, MST, currently serves as the Sr. Director of Managed Services Outsourcing Operations at Vertex Inc. since October 2025. Previous roles include Director of Tax Technology (Sales Tax) at Walmart from August 2024 to October 2025, Director of Indirect Tax at EnerVenue from June 2023 to August 2024, and Sr. Global Tax Manager at First Solar from December 2015 to June 2023. Anita's extensive experience in tax management began as Tax Manager at Amazon in 2012 and has included positions such as Director of Tax Policy and Research at Transaction Tax Resources, Inc. and various tax roles at Harry and David, Wicks Emmett Hatfield & Chappell, and Jeld-Wen. Anita holds a Master's degree in Tax from Golden Gate University, obtained between 2006 and 2009.
