José Luis Bernal Zúñiga has extensive experience in the insurance industry. José Luis began their career at Lloyd Adriatico, where they worked as a Controller, focusing on insurance product development and automation. Afterward, they joined Linea Directa Aseguradora, where they served as the Technical Director and played a crucial role in setting up the company. José Luis was responsible for pricing, product development, and market intelligence.

José Luis then moved to Royal Bank of Scotland as the Technical Insurance Director for China and later joined Zurich as the Managing Director for EGI Direct Spain.

In 2009, they joined Mapfre as the Head of New Insurance Projects, where they developed strategies to reach new customers and established a direct player in the Spanish insurance market.

José Luis also served as the CEO of verti Seguros, running the Verti start-up, specializing in motor, motorbike, home, and pet insurance in the Spanish market.

In 2016, they became a board member for both Rastreator and Preminen.

From 2019, José Luis joined Verti as the CEO of the USA division, overseeing the company's operations.

In 2014, they pursued an Executive Program in Driving Change Successfully at IESE Business School. The following year, in 2015, they completed the Global Management Program (In-company for MAPFRE) at IESE Business School, emphasizing management and leadership.

José's recent educational pursuits include an Executive Program in Marketing at ICEMD in 2017. In 2016, they also attended the IMD for the Executive Program in Digital Transformation.
