Alan Cook

Acting Director of Operations at Vertiball

Alan Cook has a diverse range of work experience in the aquaculture and seafood industry. Alan is currently the Acting Director of Operations at Symbodi. Prior to this, they operated their own consulting and advisory services company specializing in aquaculture and seafood. Alan also served as the Managing Director of Mowi Canada East and the Chief Operating Officer of New Zealand King Salmon. Earlier in their career, they held leadership positions at Marel Seattle, Icicle Seafoods, Salmones Cupquelan, Cooke Aquaculture, and Marine Harvest. Alan began their professional career working in the Development Office at the University of British Columbia.

Alan Cook completed their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Dalhousie University between 1984 and 1987. Following this, from 1996 to 1997, they obtained a Post Degree Diploma in Aquaculture from The University of British Columbia.
