Joe Moore currently serves as the Propeller and Blade Pitch Lead and Senior Propellers Design Engineer at Vertical Aerospace since January 2024. Previously, Joe worked at the National Composites Centre from January 2022 to January 2024 as the Principal Engineer for Design For Manufacture, leading the Airbus "eXtra Performance Wing" project. Joe's background also includes significant roles at McLaren Automotive Ltd, including Principal Design Engineer and Lead Engineer for Body-in-White (BiW), and Lead Design Engineer at Thales, focusing on modernizing the London Underground. Early career experiences include positions at The Timken Company and Thales as a mechanical intern and technician. Joe holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Plymouth, completed in 2012.
