Saryani Asmayawati

Saryani Asmayawati is a seasoned professional in the field of human factors engineering, currently serving as a Senior Human Factors Engineer at Vertical Aerospace since June 2025. Previously, Saryani worked at Lilium for four years as a Senior Human Factors and Crew Integration Engineer, and earlier as a Human Factors Engineer. Academic contributions include roles as a Visiting Fellow and Senior Lecturer at Cranfield University, where Saryani was also the Course Director for the MSc Safety and Accident Investigation program. Saryani's career began with significant roles such as Senior Consultant Safety Engineer at RGW Cherry & Associates Ltd. and Air Safety Investigator at the National Transportation Safety Committee in Indonesia. A dedicated performer, Saryani has been the Main Dancer for Lila Bhawa Indonesian Dance UK since January 2005. Educational qualifications include an MSc in Human Factors & Safety Assessment in Aeronautics from Cranfield University and a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung.
