Rob Tompkins

Rob Tompkins is a highly experienced Cloud Application Architect currently at Vertical Relevance since July 2024. With a strong background in software development and engineering, Rob has been a member of The Apache Software Foundation since March 2016, progressing to roles such as Project Management Committee member and Committer for Apache Commons, where key contributions include accelerating release pipelines and introducing essential security updates. Rob's professional journey includes notable positions at Kinsale Insurance, Navteca, Naborforce, and Capital One, alongside mentoring roles in initiatives like Google Summer of Code. Academically, Rob holds a Master’s degree in Mathematics and Logic from the University of South Carolina, as well as dual Bachelor's degrees in Mathematics and Engineering Science and Mechanics from Virginia Tech.
