Jamie McGookin

Jamie McGookin has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a 3D Animator at Vertigo Games, which they began in October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior QA Tester at the same company, Force Field Entertainment, from January 2017 to August 2021. During their time there, they were involved in various projects such as Star Trek Bridge Crew and National Geographic Explore VR. Jamie also provided hand-keyed 3D animations for internal projects and release titles at Force Field Entertainment.

Before joining the video game industry, Jamie worked as a Handy-Man/Labourer in a self-employed capacity from June 2015 to October 2017. Prior to that, they gained experience as a Games Tester at Rockstar Games from July 2014 to April 2015. At Rockstar Games, they had the opportunity to test AAA titles such as Grand Theft Auto V on multiple platforms.

In addition to their work as a Games Tester, Jamie was also a Freelance Graphic Designer and Handy-Man/Labourer from October 2012 to January 2014. Jamie created infographics, band logos, and miscellaneous graphics for various projects during this time.

Overall, Jamie has experience in 3D animation, quality assurance testing, graphic design, and manual labor.

Jamie McGookin earned a Bachelor's Degree in 3D Computer Animation from Glasgow Caledonian University between the years 2010 and 2012. Prior to that, they studied Multimedia Technology (Web Development) at Edinburgh Napier University from 2008 to 2009.
