Tiffany Berntsen

Tiffany Berntsen has a diverse work experience in the field of electrical engineering. Tiffany is currently working at Verus® Research as an Electrical Engineer. Prior to that, they worked as an Electrical Engineering Intern at the same company.

Before joining Verus® Research, Tiffany served as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at Boise State University. Tiffany worked in Dr. Hani Mehrpouyan's research team in the Engineering department and completed a project in partnership with Idaho National Laboratories (INL).

Tiffany also gained valuable experience at HP as a Research Development Hardware Engineer intern. Their role involved creating a stress test for the display port in LaserJet Printers' control board.

Furthermore, Tiffany worked as a STEM ECE Summer Camp TA at Boise State University. Tiffany assisted in teaching high school students about electrical engineering and guided them in designing and building an operational amplifier for a pulse monitor.

During their undergraduate years at Boise State University, Tiffany held several roles. Tiffany worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in two different projects. In the Magnetron & Plasma Medicine project, they collaborated with a team of electrical and mechanical engineers on a phase-controlled Magnetron. Additionally, they served as an Undergraduate Research Assistant for a Machine Learning project and led a summer engineering program for local high school students. Tiffany also worked as an Introduction to Engineering Lab Assistant, where they helped students understand foundational engineering concepts and encouraged their continued interest in the field.

Tiffany began their educational journey at Centennial High School, where they obtained their High School Diploma in Education. Tiffany attended Centennial High School from 2010 to 2014.

Following their high school education, Tiffany enrolled at Boise State University as an Undergraduate Student. Tiffany pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, attending Boise State University from 2014 to 2020.

After completing their undergraduate studies, Tiffany continued their education at Boise State University, where they pursued a Master's of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering. Tiffany began their master's program in 2020 and is expected to complete it in 2023.

Alongside their formal education, Tiffany has also obtained additional certifications. Tiffany completed a certification in Cyber physical security from Boise State University in May 2020. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Cell Culture Basics from Gibco Education, although the specific month and year of completion are not provided.
