Cynthia M. Flowers is an experienced healthcare professional currently serving as an RN Health Coach at Marathon Health and a Nursing Instructor at Verve College. As the Principal Owner of CMF Wellness, Cynthia focuses on helping midlife mothers enhance their well-being through personalized wellness strategies. Verve College currently offers nursing programs such as Practical Nursing. Professional Career Certification and Training Institute have gained approval for all of the courses offered by the Illinois State Board of Education. This organization consists of nine members who are appointed by the Governor with the consent of the Senate. The board sets educational policies and guidelines for all Illinois schools both public and private. The board is responsible for making sure all schools in Illinois are catering to the needs and educational demands of students, over 2 million in the state of Illinois. The board works with the General Assembly and the Governor of Illinois to make sure that high standards and goals are not only set, but met as well. The Illinois State Board of Education is responsible for the coordination of school certification and recognition. In addition the Board makes sure that the school has an up to date license to operate. The Board also makes sure that all the faculty has the proper professional development to teach and that every faculty member has valid certifications and degrees to teach and that they do not need any renewal on these certifications or degrees. Yet the most important role the Illinois State Board of Education plays is to make sure that the curriculum being offered is of the highest quality.
