Jun Qin

Jun Qin has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles.

Jun began their career as a System Administrator and Software Engineer at the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences from August 2000 to January 2002.

Jun then worked as a Software Engineer at AsiaInfo from March 2002 to March 2003, before transitioning to the role of Implementation Consultant at PTC from April 2003 to December 2003.

Jun Qin then pursued a Ph.D. at Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck from October 2004 to December 2008, during which they served as a Research Assistant at Universität Tübingen from January 2004 to September 2004.

Following their academic pursuits, Jun Qin joined Amadeus IT Group and held various roles including System Support Programmer (January 2009 to August 2012), System Support Programmer/Analyst (September 2012 to November 2016), and Senior Support Engineer (December 2016 to May 2017).

Jun then joined MapR Technologies as a Technical Account Manager from June 2017 to June 2019, where they served as a single point of contact for enterprise customers.

Currently, Jun Qin is the Head of Solutions Architecture at Ververica, where they have been since June 2022. Jun previously held the position of Solutions Architect & Technical Account Manager, collaborating with the Sales team, addressing customer support cases, and providing consulting services.

Jun Qin completed a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at Shenyang Ligong University from 1995 to 1999. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Computer Science at Beijing Institute of Technology from 1999 to 2002. Jun Qin then went on to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science from Leopold-Franzens Universität Innsbruck, which they completed between 2004 and 2008.
