Design Quality Assurance Engineer at Vesalius Cardiovascular

Meagan Woolsey has a diverse work experience in various engineering roles. In their most recent position as a Design Quality Assurance Engineer at Vesalius Cardiovascular Inc. since September 2021, they are responsible for ensuring the quality of design processes and products.

Prior to that, they worked at Neovasc Inc. as a Research and Development Engineer from September 2019 to June 2021. Meagan'sresponsibilities involved collaborating with peers to design prototypes and perform product validation testing for a trans-catheter mitral heart valve. Meagan also managed multiple concurrent accelerated wear studies, ensuring compliance with ISO standards.

In 2018, Meagan worked as an Engineering Co-op at Evasc Medical Systems. Meagan was part of a team involved in the development and manufacture of stents and catheter-delivered medical devices. Meagan also designed test jigs and evaluated design concepts for different delivery systems.

Before that, they gained experience as a Mechanical Engineering Co-op Student at PDG Mobility in 2017. Meagan'stasks included conducting material tests, dimensional metrology, and functional tests for customizable wheelchairs. Meagan also revised drawings and completed engineering change orders.

In 2016, Meagan was a Process Engineering Intern at Canada Post/ Postes Canada. Meagan consolidated data, redesigned facility layouts, and analyzed mail volumes to improve productivity and develop a shipment schedule.

Throughout their career, Meagan has demonstrated strong technical skills, collaboration, and a commitment to quality and compliance.

Meagan Woolsey pursued their education from 2014 to 2019 at The University of British Columbia, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Biomedical studies. In addition to their degree, they also hold a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Certification, which was obtained in October 2016 from Canada Post / Postes Canada.
