Anna Pensalfini

Senior Scientist I at Vesalius Therapeutics

Anna Pensalfini has over 13 years of work experience. Anna began their career in 2008 as a Post-Doctoral Fellow at UC Irvine, where they worked to elucidate the significance of structurally distinct amyloid aggregates to Alzheimer's disease pathogenesis. In 2012, they moved to NYU Langone Medical Center as a Post-Doctoral Fellow. In 2014, they joined the Nathan S. Kline Institute for Psychiatric Research (NKI) - Center for Dementia Research as an Assistant Research Scientist/Postdoctoral Fellow, where they conducted and coordinated research efforts to address the contribution of endosomal dysfunction to Alzheimer's disease pathogenesis. In 2021, they joined Flagship Labs 81, Inc. as a Senior Scientist I and Scientist, Cell Biology. Anna is currently employed at Vesalius Therapeutics as a Senior Scientist I.

Anna Pensalfini obtained a PhD in Biochemistry and Applied Biology from the Università degli Studi di Firenze in 2008. Anna also earned a Master Degree in Biology from the same university between 1998 and 2004.
