Scott Davis

Chief Executive Officer at Vescent Photonics

Scott Davis began their career in 2000 as a NRC Post-doc at NIST. In 2001, they moved to Meadowlark Optics, where they served as a Senior Optical Engineer responsible for the design and development of liquid crystal based photonic products. In 2002, they co-founded Vescent Photonics and served as Vice President of Technology. In 2016, Analog Devices acquired the Liquid Crystal Waveguide Technology from Vescent, and Scott Davis was appointed Senior Manager of Electro-Optical System Development, managing a group of Analog employees based in Golden. In 2020, they returned to Vescent Photonics as the Chief Executive Officer, where they continue to develop, commercialize, and manufacture laser, laser control electronics, photonics, and micro-optical modules.

Scott Davis began their education in 1985 at Paul D. Schreiber High School, where they received a High School diploma. Scott then attended Wesleyan University from 1988 to 1992, graduating with a BA in Physics. Following this, they attended the University of Colorado Boulder from 1992 to 1999, where they obtained a Ph.D. in Chemical Physics. Scott also attended the Denver Language School, though no degree was awarded.
