Thomas Bersano is currently serving as a Field Application Engineer at Vescent since March 2024. Prior experience includes roles as an AMO Quantum Physicist at Los Alamos National Laboratory from February 2021 to March 2024, where Thomas developed machine learning control schemes for cold-atom systems and designed optical configurations for rubidium atoms in Rydberg states. Prior to that, Thomas worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Washington State University, focusing on Bose-Einstein condensates and related experiments from July 2020 to January 2021. Additional experience includes roles as a Graduate Student Research Assistant at Washington State University from 2016 to 2019 and 2012 to 2016, as well as temporary research staff at USG. Thomas holds a Ph.D. in Cold Atom Physics and a Master's Degree in Physics from Washington State University, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Physics from Illinois Wesleyan University.
