Sr. Project Manager at Veseris

Sheila Heater has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Sheila started their career as a Laboratory Technician at FINA Oil and Chemical in 1992. Sheila then worked as a Laboratory Technician at Exploration Technologies Inc from 1992 to 1995. Sheila transitioned to a role as a Grant Specialist at Texas State University from 1998 to 2002, where they were responsible for purifying plant proteins for cancer cell directed immunotherapies and training undergraduate research assistants.

In 2001, Sheila joined The University of Texas at Austin as a Research Scientist Associate in the College of Pharmacy, before moving to Molecular Biosciences Research Group at Texas State University in 2002 as a Senior Research Scientist. During this role, they conducted independent research on DNA repair gene expression in non-human model systems and trained technicians and students in molecular biology techniques.

In 2006, Sheila joined Life Technologies as a Scientist III - Research and Development, where they were responsible for new product development for RNA sequencing applications and managing the Sequencing Core Facility. Sheila later joined PT Restoration in 2012 as a Manager, where they created and implemented best practice guidelines for flood and fire disaster mitigation, managed all aspects of disaster mitigation projects, and implemented technology solutions.

Sheila then joined Wesco Aircraft in 2014 as an IT Project Manager, where they successfully managed projects until 2020. Currently, they are working as a Sr. Project Manager at Veseris, starting from February 2020.

Sheila Heater received their Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Texas State University from 1985 to 1990. Sheila further pursued their education at the same university and earned a Master of Science in Chemistry from 1996 to 1998.
