Kim Levone

Kim Levone has a diverse work experience spanning different industries. Kim started their career as a Clinical Therapist at the National Family Resiliency Center in 2003, where they provided individual therapy, couples counseling, family therapy, and co-parent counseling. Kim also facilitated groups for children and teens on various topics.

In 2009, Kim worked as a Child Welfare Liaison at the Montgomery County Infant and Toddler Program, providing assessment, treatment, and prevention services to children at risk of developmental delays and their families. Kim offered ongoing family-centered parent coaching as part of a multi-disciplinary early intervention team.

From 2010 to 2017, Kim served as a Mental Health Consultant and Clinical Supervisor at The Lourie Center for Children's Social and Emotional Wellbeing. Kim provided individual and group supervision for Early Intervention Specialists, Child Welfare Liaisons, and Early Head Start staff. Kim also conducted staff trainings on topics such as child welfare, attachment and trauma, and self-care.

In 2014, they took on the role of Tour Coordinator and Agent for comedian Benji Lovitt, where they negotiated contracts for speaking engagements and comedy shows in the U.S. Kim aimed to find excellent performance opportunities for Benji while ensuring a valuable experience for the hiring community.

Kim's passion for comedy led their to co-found and produce live stand-up comedy shows for Improbable Comedy starting in 2011. Kim was responsible for finding and booking venues, contracting with performers, and executing marketing and PR strategies for successful shows in the DC area.

In 2016, Kim became the Executive Producer of Brazil 101: Comedy for Gringos, a live stand-up comedy show performed in Rio de Janeiro during the 2016 Olympic Games. Kim scouted and nurtured Brazilian talent, coordinated venues, and supervised an international production team on creative, operational, and marketing aspects.

Most recently, Kim has been serving as the Director of Clinical Services at Vesta, Inc. since 2017. Kim supports staff in providing high-quality care and maintaining documentation compliance while prioritizing their well-being and emotional health.

Throughout their career, Kim Levone has demonstrated a dedication to serving clients with care, compassion, and expertise in both mental health and comedy industries.

Kim Levone has a strong educational background with a focus on social work and Judaic studies. Kim obtained a Master of Science degree in Social Work from Columbia University in 1997. Additionally, in the same year, they completed a Master's Degree in Judaic Studies at The Jewish Theological Seminary (JTS). Prior to these postgraduate studies, they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from New York University in 1994.

In terms of certifications, Kim has continued to enhance their professional skills. In 2008, they obtained the "Approved Supervisor" certification from the Maryland Board of Social Work Examiners. Later, in 2016, they completed the "Circle of Security Facilitator" training. Kim also attended the "SEFEL Train the Trainers" program offered by the Maryland Social Emotional Foundations of Early Learning. More recently, they acquired certifications in "Inclusive Leadership" through LinkedIn in December 2020 and a certification from LinkedIn in Q1 2022.
