Anders Steen Nielsen

Anders Steen Nielsen has over 20 years of experience in the wind energy sector, currently serving as Vice President Blades at Vestas since January 2014, responsible for the entire development life cycle of wind turbine blades and managing a global team of over 300 professionals. Prior roles at Vestas included Vice President and Chief Specialist in Loads and Control, as well as Director in the same area, demonstrating expertise in technology strategy and engineering leadership. Before returning to Vestas, Anders co-founded LAC engineering / Ramboll, focusing on loads, aerodynamics, and control, and served as Assistant Professor at Aarhus University. Anders also completed a Doctor of Philosophy in Materialevidenskab, an Executive MBA, and holds a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Aalborg University.
