Jared Balavender

Jared Balavender has extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Principal at Vestas Ventures since May 2019. In this role, Jared leads thematic scouting sprints, evaluates investment opportunities, and conducts strategic diligence to support sustainable energy initiatives. Previously, Jared held various positions at Vestas, including Ventures Specialist and Technology Developer in the Storage and Energy Solutions department. Prior to joining Vestas, Jared worked as a Technology Consultant at Accenture, focusing on renewables and automation. Earlier experiences include co-founding DataMine and involvement in renewable energy programs and research at DONG Energy and the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection. Jared holds a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from DTU and a Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Studies from Elon University.
