Craig started their career at General Motors in 1988, where they worked in various engineering and operations management roles until 2005.

Craig then joined Verizon Connect in 2007 and held multiple positions, including Associate Director of Engineering, VP of Engineering for Networkfleet, and Manufacturing Manager for Networkfleet. Craig was responsible for managing product programs, manufacturing engineering resources, and contract manufacturers. Craig also led validation and support engineering functions and developed partnerships with third-party engineering providers. Their tenure at Verizon Connect lasted until 2017.

Craig obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University between the years 1983 and 1988. Craig then pursued further education and earned an MBA with distinction in Operations Management from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management for the duration of 1993 to 1995. Additionally, Craig K. completed their Master of Engineering degree in Operations Research & Industrial Engineering from Cornell University during the year 1994 to 1995. In terms of certifications, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from ProgressivEdge, Inc. in February 2011.
