Brian Thomas

Brian Thomas is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in engineering and academia. Currently serving as a Production Engineer at Vestil Manufacturing since October 2019, Brian specializes in problem-solving within the engineering domain. Prior to this role, Brian held the position of Associate Professor at Trine University from August 2010 to May 2019, where contributions included developing engineering courses and mentoring student teams through product design processes. Earlier experience includes an Assistant Professor role in Mechanical Engineering at Cleveland State University, with research focused on thermoelectric energy harvesting, and various manufacturing engineer positions from 1995 to 2000, where responsibilities centered on continuous improvement and automated assembly lines. Brian holds a PhD, Master of Science, and Bachelor of Science degrees from The Ohio State University in Industrial, Welding, and Systems Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering, respectively.
