Emil Kamiński

Emil Kamiński has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and data science. Emil is currently the Head of Data Engineering & Data Science at Vesuvius, where they oversee the implementation of data-driven strategies to enhance operational efficiency and drive strategic decision-making. Prior to this, they were the Research and Innovation Manager at Ghelamco Poland, where they designed and implemented an operating system for intelligent buildings and established a data science practice. Emil also served as the Programme Board Director at Fundacja Digital Poland. Additionally, Emil has experience as a lecturer on digital transformation and data science at Kozminski University. Emil was previously the General Partner and Head of Data Engineering & Data Science at CogniBe, where they played a key role in building data infrastructure. Before that, they held various roles at Ericsson, including Global Head of Data Analytics & Process Automation, Head Of Delivery Unit Poland, and Manager Project Management Office. Emil started their career as a Data Scientist and Machine Learning Expert at Orange (former Idea Poland), where they developed and deployed various analytical models for cross-selling, churn detection, fraud detection, customer segmentation, and more.

Emil Kamiński studied Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Machine Learning at Warsaw University of Technology. In addition, they obtained various certifications in areas such as Apache Spark, Advanced Data Analytics, Agile Software Development, Big Data and Knowledge Management in Business, Change Management, Executive Leadership, First Level Manager, ITIL Expert, Industry 4.0, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI), Negotiation, and Project Management Professional (PMP) from institutions such as Databricks, SAS, ETH Zurich, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Ericsson, CTPartners SA, and the Project Management Institute.
