Richard Sykes

Richard Sykes has extensive experience in leadership and financial management within the refractory industry. Currently serving as President of Advanced Refractories at Vesuvius since September 2023, Richard has held various senior roles since joining Vesuvius Plc in March 2015, including Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Finance for the Flow Control division. Richard's experience also includes serving as Finance Director for Advanced Refractories EMEA and UK Country Manager. Prior to Vesuvius, Richard held positions such as Group Finance Director at Hepworth Refractories and was involved in business development at Asda Stores Limited. Richard began a career in finance at Hawsons Chartered Accountants from 1985 to 1988. Richard's educational background includes attendance at Worksop College from 1974 to 1979.
