Phon Vilayoune

Phon Vilayoune has a strong background in finance and investment, with a particular focus on derivatives and fixed income. Phon founded and serves as the CEO of Veta Investment Partners since November 2019. Prior to this, Phon worked at Security Benefit as the Head of Derivatives from December 2014 to July 2019. In this role, they successfully built and led a Derivatives Team, oversaw the in-sourcing of a large portfolio, and implemented an internal platform and workflow process. Before joining Security Benefit, Phon worked at Bloomberg LP as a Fixed Income Index Manager/Global Bond Analyst from March 2013 to October 2014. Here, they played a key role in launching global fixed income bond indexes and worked on the implementation of Australian interest rate swap and bank bill indexes. Prior to Bloomberg, Phon worked at Samba Financial Group as a Portfolio Manager/Proprietary Trader for global credit and fixed income from December 2008 to January 2013. Phon was responsible for managing the bank's credit derivatives, corporate bond, and structured credit books, and played a key role in a successful proprietary credit and EM FX team. Lastly, Phon worked at Principal Financial Group as a Derivatives Trader from June 2006 to August 2008, specializing in U.S. Treasuries and equity/rate derivatives. Phon also served as a Portfolio Management Associate/Junior Trader from September 2003 to June 2006 in the same company.

Phon Vilayoune received a BBA degree in Economics from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business, where they studied from 1995 to 1999.
