Sumithra Velupillai

Sumithra Velupillai is a seasoned professional with an extensive background in computational linguistics. Currently serving as a Senior Research Officer at Vetenskapsrådet and a Lecturer at King's College London, Velupillai has previously held positions such as Postdoctoral Research Fellow at KTH Royal Institute of Technology and Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Utah. With a Ph.D. in Computer and Systems Sciences from Stockholm University, Velupillai has also engaged in various roles such as Linguistic Consultant at Butler Hill Group and Keywording and Development at Johnér Images. Throughout their academic journey, Velupillai has demonstrated a strong commitment to the field of computational linguistics through their teaching, research, and consultancy work.
