Brandonn Mixon

Brandonn Mixon has a diverse work experience starting with their role as a Fabrication Apprentice at HotRod-Express in 2006. Brandonn then worked as a Customer Service Specialist at The Home Depot from 2007 to 2009. Following this, they served in the US Army as a Specialist from 2008 to 2013. Brandonn then worked as a Maintenance Specialist at the Raytown School District from 2013 to 2015. In 2014, Brandonn became the Owner/CEO of Airborne Mechanical & Home Renovations and also took on the role of Director of Facilities and Co-Founder at Veterans Community Project.

Brandonn Mixon has an associate's degree in Heating, Air Conditioning, Ventilation, and Refrigeration Maintenance, which was obtained from Pinnacle Career Institute-North Kansas City from 2014 to 2016. Brandonn also attended US Army Aviation School from 2009 to 2010 for Rotary Wing School. Prior to that, they attended Lee's Summit High from 1995 to 2009. Additionally, Brandonn Mixon has obtained certifications as a Mechanical (Heating/Cooling/Ventilating/Refrigerating) Contractor from Prometric in November 2020, and as a General Engineering Contractor (Class A) from Prometric in April 2015.

Veterans Community Project

Veterans Community Project (VCP) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to ending Veteran homelessness by providing transitional-housing, wrap-around support services, and emergency assistance. Headquartered in Kansas City, MO, VCP uses Kansas City as the blueprint for achieving similar success in its expansion to cities across the United States, with the long-term goal of eliminating Veteran homelessness nationwide. VCP is a team of connectors, feelers, and doers on a mission to help our kin, our kind. We move with swift, bold action, always motivated to serve with compassion. We took an oath to serve all who served us by dedicating our time and careers to eradicating Veteran homelessness in Kansas City.
