Amy Reid serves as the Assistant Director and Archaeologist-Principal Investigator-Project Archaeologist at the Center for Archaeological Studies, Texas State University, where extensive cultural resource investigations in Central, South, and Coastal Texas have been conducted since September 2009. In addition to overseeing the center's curation program and conducting archaeological research, responsibilities have included training personnel, managing curated collections, and applying for grants for research and public outreach initiatives. Amy also manages the rehabilitation and processing of archaeological collections within the Veterans Curation Program and has held a lecturer position at Texas State University since 2013, teaching a course on the curation of anthropological and archaeological collections. Education includes a Bachelor's Degree, a Master's degree in Anthropology, and ongoing pursuit of a PhD in Applied Anthropology with a focus on Archaeology. Previously, a field archaeologist at TRC Companies, Inc. in 2008, Amy is also the director of the PAST Program, which is dedicated to public outreach and education regarding Texas's archaeological heritage.
