Joanna Murphy has a diverse work experience in various marketing roles. Joanna started their career as a Project Coordinator at Microburst Learning, where they developed style guides and managed marketing and PR projects. Joanna then became a Project Manager, leading a team in the development of digital educational content. Joanna also worked at R. Riveter as a Digital Marketing Coordinator, where they organized and optimized the Brand Ambassador Program. Joanna later joined Veterans Guardian as a Marketing Team Lead, responsible for growth marketing strategies. Currently, they are working as the Marketing Director at Veterans Guardian, overseeing the overall marketing strategy and various marketing initiatives.

Joanna Murphy earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Marketing and Management from the University of South Carolina Darla Moore School of Business, where they studied from 2008 to 2012. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Campbell University's Lundy-Fetterman School of Business, completing their studies from 2016 to 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Joanna Murphy has acquired various certifications. In October 2018, they obtained a HubSpot Content Marketing certification. In April 2018, they also obtained an Inbound Marketing certification from HubSpot. More recently, in January 2020, they achieved the Conversational Marketing Certified credential from Drift, followed by the Google Ads Search Certification from Google in February 2020.
