Robin Samit

Robin Samit, Esq. Associate Dean Affiliate & Industry Affairs and Director of Health Sciences Business Contracting

As the Associate Dean of Health Sciences as UC San Diego, Robin Samit oversees affiliate and industry affairs for the School of Medicine and Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and the Health System. Ms. Samit currently serves as the Vice President and Corporate Secretary of the Sanford Consortium for Regenerative Medicine. Other committee membership includes working on the UCSD VA Affiliation Partnership Council, the UC San Diego Health Compliance, Ethics & Risk Committee, as Co-chair of the UC San Diego Affiliate Policy Work Group.

Prior to joining UC San Diego, Ms. Samit worked for Elsevier Science, one of the largest scientific and medical publishers in the world. In her community service, Ms. Samit also served as founding Chair of the Law & Medicine Section of the San Diego County Bar Association and has served as either a board member or officer of other San Diego nonprofit organizations.

Ms. Samit holds a B.A. magna cum laude, from UCLA, a J.D. from California Western School of Law, and is admitted to practice law in California.
