Duane Sarmiento has extensive experience in veterans' affairs and law enforcement, currently serving as the Commander in Chief for the Veterans of Foreign Wars since July 2021. Prior to this role, Duane held the position of Director of Veterans Affairs for Gloucester County, New Jersey, from January 2011 to July 2021. Duane's background in law enforcement includes serving as an Investigator for the Gloucester County Sheriff's Department from September 2007 to December 2010 and as a Police Officer with the Greenwich Township Police Department from June 1998 to September 2007.
