Al Cussen

Al Cussen is an experienced professional with a strong background in operations and business development within the retail and veterinary sectors. Currently serving as a Market Owner at Veterinary Emergency Group since October 2024, Al previously held various senior leadership roles at dentalcorp from September 2018 to October 2024, including Senior Director of Operations, Regional Director, and Director of Operations. Al's extensive experience includes serving as VP Retail for The Central Group and VP Retail Business Development for Mark IV Promotions in 2018. Prior roles at Loblaw Companies Limited included several VP positions focused on pricing, merchandising, and marketing from January 2008 to October 2012. Al's career also includes significant contributions at Wal-Mart, where responsibilities encompassed grocery merchandising and the development of Supercentres in Canada, as well as launching SAM'S CLUB Canada. Additionally, Al began the career as a Category Manager at A&P from 1982 to 1996. Al holds a degree from the University of Guelph.
