Chief Veterinary Nursing Officer at Veterinary Emergency Group

Kenichiro Yagi serves as the Chief Veterinary Nursing Officer at Veterinary Emergency Group since December 2020 and has been the Program Director for the RECOVER Initiative since June 2017. With a long-standing commitment to veterinary education as a Veterinary Technician Educator since September 2010, Kenichiro has engaged audiences through 966 lectures and workshops. Notable recent contributions include participation in international and U.S. conferences, focusing on emergency and critical care topics. Kenichiro also managed the Veterinary Education Simulation Laboratory at Cornell University from October 2018 to December 2020, where complex medical simulators were developed and maintained. Prior experience encompasses roles as ICU Manager and Blood Bank Manager at Adobe Animal Hospital and as an ECC Trainer at PetED Veterinary Education and Training Resources, alongside academic instruction at Foothill College. Kenichiro holds a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of California, Davis.
