Derek Walsh

Derek Walsh is an experienced executive in the healthcare and behavioral health sectors, currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Veterinary Innovative Partners since October 2024. Prior to this role, Derek held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Southern Orthodontic Partners from March 2022 to October 2024. From June 2019 to March 2022, Derek was President & Chief Operating Officer at ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy and Education, and earlier served at Behavioral Health Group - BHG from March 2012 to May 2019 in various senior roles focused on operations and compliance. Derek began a military career in the US Army from May 2006 to March 2012, reaching the rank of Battery Commander and overseeing significant training and operational responsibilities. Derek holds a BA in Russian / East European Studies from The University of Texas at Austin.
