Veterinary Regional Referral Hospital has been serving the Tennessee Valley as a referral surgical practice for the past 40+ years. We have provided care for patients from Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Colorado, Mississippi, Louisiana, Texas, and more. Last year, we received 501c3 status and government approval to establish the Newman Veterinary Research Hospital. Located on Veterans Drive behind Olive Garden and Texas Roadhouse, the research hospital will be the only facility of its kind, and it will be critically positioned right in the heart of Decatur. We will still offer the typical referral surgeries, physical therapy, and emergency services that the Tennessee Valley has relied on for so long, but we want to do more. For patients presenting with specific disease criteria, we will offer treatment regardless of cost or prognosis. Our medical team will be well trained, motivated to learn, and highly compassionate toward patients and their families. We will have a complete medical staff second to none, and we will work hand in hand with MDs, researchers, and geneticists. The goal is to effectively study diseases that naturally occur in both humans and their companion animals to create better, less invasive treatment protocols for everyone.
