Kristen Gabriel Dvm

Kristen Gabriel, DVM, is a dedicated veterinarian currently serving as a Small Animal Surgery Resident at Veterinary Specialty Services since July 2021. Kristen has prior experience as a Small Animal Medicine and Surgery Intern at Kansas State University Veterinary Health Center from June 2020 to June 2021. Earlier roles include lifeguarding and instruction at MizzouRec Services and Facilities, as well as participation as a Wildlife Research Assistant in the MU Veterinary Research Scholars Program, where research on Little Brown Bats and White-Nose Syndrome was presented at the NIH. Kristen also gained experience as a Bioinformatics Research Assistant at the University of Tulsa, assisting in genomic research. Kristen holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from The University of Tulsa.
