Shannon Bass

Shannon Bass has a diverse and extensive work experience in the veterinary industry. Shannon began their career at Carolina Veterinary Specialists as a Medical Director and Emergency Veterinarian, where they worked from June 2000 to July 2017. Following this, they started their own practice, Three Suns Veterinary Acupuncture, where they served as the Owner and Veterinarian from August 2010 to July 2017. Shannon then joined PetVet Care Centers as the Director of DVM Recruiting from July 2017 to August 2019. After that, they worked at VCA Animal Hospitals in various roles, including Senior Veterinary Recruiter, National Director of Specialty Recruiting, and Senior Specialty Recruiter for Cardiology, ECC, and Oncology, from August 2019 to May 2023. Currently, they hold the position of Vice President of Medical Leadership at Vets Pets since May 2023.

Shannon Bass completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Veterinary Sciences/Veterinary Clinical Sciences, General from Texas A&M University, which they attended from 1991 to 1994. Shannon then pursued further education and earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in Veterinary Medicine from the same institution, completing their studies from 1994 to 1998.
