Vexev
Deanna Hood, MSc Robotics, is a highly experienced Senior Robotics Engineer currently working at Vexev on the Vexev Wave, a robotic medical imaging device designed to assist vascular surgeons in visualizing 3D models of arteries for cardiovascular health. Previously, Deanna contributed to the development of the Ligō skin-printing robot at Inventia Life Science, which supports biomedical research by enabling the 3D printing of living human cells for cancer study. Deanna's background includes significant contributions to the Robot Operating System (ROS 2) as a software engineer at the Open Source Robotics Foundation, along with research roles focused on robotics and computer vision at various prestigious institutions. Deanna holds an Erasmus Mundus European Masters of Computer Vision and Robotics and a dual Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Electrical Engineering from the Queensland University of Technology.
