Orkhan Safarov

Orkhan Safarov has a diverse range of work experience in the legal field. Orkhan started their career as an Intern at Parabank OJSC in 2015 before moving on to work as a Legal Consultant at Cred Agro NBCO JSC. In 2016, they became a leading lawyer at Expressbank, and then transitioned to the position of Senior Corporate Lawyer at Bank "BTB" OJSC in 2018.

In 2019, Orkhan joined the Azerbaijani Bar Association as a Barrister, where they provided legal assistance to individuals and legal entities, specializing in the defense of individuals accused in criminal cases. Orkhan also worked at "AzerGold" CJSC as the Head of the legal compliance and corporate law division, responsible for contract management and examination, as well as the analysis of internal regulatory documents.

Most recently, Orkhan held the position of Head of the Legal Department at the Veyseloglu Group of Companies, where they were in charge of various activities such as contract management, corporate legal support, risk detection and prevention, and protection of the company's interests in legal cases. Orkhan also played a role in establishing an electronification system for contract and goods purchase processes and ensuring labor and executive discipline within the department.

Throughout their career, Orkhan Safarov has gained valuable experience in various legal roles, showcasing their expertise in contract management, legal analysis, and protection of the company's interests.

Orkhan Safarov earned their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law from Baku State University between the years 2010 and 2014. Following this, they pursued further education at Chicago-Kent College of Law, LL.M. Programs from 2023 to 2025, where they obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree specializing in International Business, Trade, and Tax Law.

In addition to their formal education, Orkhan Safarov has acquired several certifications to enhance their legal knowledge and skills. Orkhan completed the General Course on Intellectual Property at the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in April 2023. In December 2022, they obtained a certification in Essentials of Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) from AltaClaro. Orkhan also obtained a certification in Party representation in arbitration from the Istanbul Arbitration Centre (ISTAC) in June 2022. Furthermore, Orkhan Safarov is a Contract and Commercial Management Practitioner (ACCM) certified by the World Commerce & Contracting, although the specific month and year of this certification is not provided.
