Phyllis Lai

Phyllis Lai, CFRE, currently serves as the Associate Director of Fundraising Events at VGH & UBC Hospital Foundation, where leadership of a six-member team involves strategizing and executing various fundraising initiatives, including major annual events. With prior roles in the organization, Phyllis has successfully overseen numerous high-profile fundraising events, such as the Time to Shine Gala and Night of a Thousand Stars Gala, which have collectively raised millions for healthcare initiatives. Previous experience includes positions at the Canadian Cancer Society, where Phyllis specialized in Asian Giving, and at South Burnaby Neighbourhood House, focusing on community support programs. Phyllis holds a BBA in International Business from Simon Fraser University, alongside additional qualifications in fundraising and language translation.
