Manny Valdes USMC Veteran

Manny Valdes is a USMC Veteran with over 30 years of work experience. In 1987, they joined the USMC/Marine Corps as a Reserve Support Command Radio/Satellite Communications, where they were schooled in radio, satellite and voice data communications, and was the primary security materials custodian with a "Top Secret" clearance. In 1991, they worked as a Food Stamp Program (SIS) (Office Automation) for the United States Dept. Of Agriculture, where they worked with a wide area network (WAN) and provided one on one consulting with retail Food Stamp applicants. From 1995 to 1997, they worked as a Junior Network Engineer and LAN Administrator for Tampa Bay Trane Company RHI Consulting. From 1997 to 2009, they worked as a Senior Mainframe z Series Programmer/Analyst for IBM Global Business Services and as a Senior Mainframe Programmer/Analyst for Catapult Technology. From 2012 to 2015, they worked as a Systems Engineer Senior/Architect for Lockheed Martin Information Technology. From 2015 to 2020, they worked as a Director of Enterprise Cloud Modernization, Enterprise Application and Mainframe Modernization Consultant, and Enterprise Mainframe Modernization Consultant for VG IT Services, Inc. In 2020, they began working as an Infrastructure Senior Tech Analyst - C12, Assistant Vice President of High Availability Platforms for Citi.

Manny Valdes USMC Veteran has a diverse educational background. In 1992, they began their studies at the University of South Florida, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems and Services in 1997. Manny then attended Hillsborough Community College, where they earned a B.A. in Business Administration in 1997. Manny furthered their education in 2010 when they obtained a CompTIA Security+ certification from CompTIA Security+. Finally, from 2012 to 2014, they attended The George Washington University - School of Engineering & Applied Science, where they earned a CISSP and a Master of Science in Computer Engineering.
