Joop Essing

Joop Essing has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Joop started their career at DSM Petrochemicals, where they held various positions including Shift Supervisor and Process Control Engineer. In 2001, they joined PETLIN Malaysia as a Start-Up Manager, where they were responsible for commissioning and starting up a polyethylene plant. In 2004, they returned to DSM and held multiple roles, including Manager Maintenance and Engineering at DSM PharmaChemicals, Project Director and Global Director Business Projects at DSM Dyneema, and Global Innovation Director at DSM Coating Resins. Currently, they are the Chief Executive Officer and co-owner of VHE Industrial Automation B.V., a company specializing in developing and building customized drive and control solutions for the machine industry. Joop's expertise lies in lean production, control cabinet design, customized software, and motion solutions. Joop has successfully worked with multinational companies as well as promising scale-ups in industries such as semiconductors, smart energy, and high-tech.

Joop Essing completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology from 1989 to 1995. In 1992, they briefly attended the University of Strathclyde for further studies in Mechanical Engineering. In 1997 to 1998, Joop pursued a post-doctoral study in Business Management at KU Leuven, earning a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree. Finally, in 2013, they completed a program at IPMA-B, although specific details regarding the degree or field of study are not provided.
