Edward L. Johnson

Edward L. Johnson has extensive experience in transportation management, currently serving as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer at VIA Metropolitan Transit since March 2020. Previously, Johnson held the position of Chief Executive Officer at the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority (LYNX) from May 2016 to June 2019, where responsibilities included managing operations for Greater Orlando's $200M bus transportation system and collaborating with the Board of Directors to secure funding. Johnson served as Chief Administrative Officer at the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority from April 2013 to May 2016 and as General Manager at LYNX from January 2011 to April 2013. Johnson holds both a Master's and Bachelor's degree from Jacksonville State University.
