Joana Ferro Carvalho has extensive work experience in various legal roles spanning over several companies.

Joana began their career at Galp Energia in 1999 as a Junior Legal Assistant before moving on to Alcides Martins & Associados in 2000, where they worked as a Lawyer until 2002.

In 2001, they joined Multi Development Portugal as a Lawyer and stayed with the company for over a decade until 2012. During this time, they also co-founded Piteira Santos, Ferro de Carvalho & Associados - Sociedade de Advogados RL in 2012, where they served as a Founding Partner until 2015.

Joana then worked briefly at Cintra as a Lawyer from 2013 to 2014. Joana later returned to Cintra in 2014 as an Advogada and stayed until the end of 2015.

In 2016, Joana joined Grupo Parinama as an Advogada and remained in this role until 2018. Joana also briefly worked at Grupo Reformosa in 2018 as a Legal Counsel.

From 2018 onwards, Joana has been with VIA OUTLETS, starting as the Portugal Legal Manager from July 2018 to December 2019. Joana then became the Deputy Legal Director Portugal from January to December 2020, and currently holds the position of Legal Director Portugal from January 2021 onwards.

Joana Ferro Carvalho has a strong educational background in the field of law. Joana completed a post-graduate degree in Labor Law at the Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Lisboa from 2012 to 2013. Prior to that, they pursued another post-graduate degree in Legal Sciences at the Universidade Católica de Lisboa from 2011 to 2012. Additionally, they obtained a post-graduate degree in Commercial and Company Law at the same university from 2009 to 2010. Joana's educational journey began with a bachelor's degree in an unspecified field of study at the Faculdade de Direito da Universidade de Lisboa, which they completed from 1993 to 1998.
