Melissa J. Moore

Melissa J. Moore is currently employed at Moderna as the Dean of R&D College at Moderna University. Melissa J. also holds the role of Scientific Advisory Board member and Emeritus CSO, working on education and DEI initiatives. Melissa J. is the Co-Founder and Director of Via Scientific, the SAB Member of Comanche Biopharma, Alltrna, and the Director and SAB Chair of Tessera Therapeutics. Melissa J. serves as the SAB Chair of Arrakis Therapeutics. Their previous work experience includes being a Professor and Co-Director at UMass Medical School, Investigator at Howard Hughes Medical Institute, and Professor at Brandeis University. Melissa J. also served as a Helen Hay Whitney Postdoctoral Fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Melissa J. Moore earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology from William & Mary in 1984. Melissa J. then went on to attend Massachusetts Institute of Technology where they obtained their Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry in 1989.
