Erin Abrams has extensive work experience, starting in 2001 as a Program Assistant at Save the Children where they designed rehabilitation programs for child victims of sexual trafficking. From 2002 to 2003, they worked as a Research Analyst at the Triangle Institute for Security Studies, conducting research on terrorism and organizing conferences on civil-military relations. Erin then served as a Law Clerk at the U.S. Attorney's Office, Eastern District of New York in 2004.

Erin began their legal career in 2006 as a Litigation Associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP, specializing in white collar criminal matters, civil litigation, and securities litigation. Erin also worked on pro bono projects during this time. In 2013, they joined Citi as a Senior Vice President and Senior Compliance Officer, overseeing information barrier risks and insider trading prevention.

In 2014, Erin joined Via as the VP, Head of Legal, and later served as the General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer. Erin played a key role in the company's legal department. In 2016, they became a Founding Member of TechGC, a community of in-house lawyers from leading technology companies.

In 2023, Erin took on new roles as a Lecturer of Law at Columbia Law School, where they teach a seminar on in-house practice and tech and startup law, and as a Strategic Advisor at CallidusAI.

Erin Abrams received a J.D. from Harvard Law School between 2003 and 2006. Prior to that, they earned a B.A. in Political Science from Duke University from 1998 to 2001.
