Shibani Thakkar

Shibani Thakkar has worked in the software engineering industry since 2016. In 2017, they worked as a Software Engineer at Viakoo, Inc., where they were responsible for developing new camera and video management software (VMS) drivers and maintaining old drivers. Shibani also developed new features such as Nas support, SNMPV3 support, etc. In the same year, they also volunteered at TiE Silicon Valley & TiEcon. In 2016, they worked as a Software Development Support Intern at Litmus Automation, where they gained hands-on experience with Samsung Artik and composed Git Markdown Documentation techniques along with Gitlab. Shibani also worked as a Mobile Application Developer Intern at HokuPop, where they were responsible for developing the subscription & chat module for the Digital Comic Con app using Android & Firebase SDK, enhancing the UI of the application, integrating analytics to the android application, and adding functionalities which included Broadcast Receiver, Content providers and Intents. In the same year, they also worked as a Software Engineer at Strikedeck, where they developed programs to push, pull and manipulate data to/from different cloud applications, did data analytics, and built connectors using JAVA, REST APIs/SOAP for various data sources.

Shibani Thakkar obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Greenwich from 2009 to 2013. Subsequently, they obtained a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering from San Jose State University between 2015 and 2017.
