Alyson Kaye, JD has extensive work experience in contract and legal affairs. Alyson currently holds the position of Director, Contracts & Legal Affairs at Vial, where they are responsible for building and overseeing the Site Contracts and Budgets Department. Alyson'srole involves developing processes and procedures, leading and training direct reports, and identifying resourcing needs. Alyson also plays a key role in delivering end-to-end global site contracts and budgets, contributing to feasibility, budget, and contract template development, and facilitating communication between sponsors and sites.

Prior to their current role, Alyson worked as a Sr. Contracts Manager at Vial, where they drafted, reviewed, negotiated, and managed legal and clinical study templates. Alyson also implemented change management training and created resources to optimize quality and efficiency in onboarding and negotiations.

Before joining Vial, Alyson was the Manager of Client Contracts at ICON plc. In this role, they led global study teams and provided guidance in aligning cycle times with corporate goals. Alyson also served as a functional manager to direct reports and ensured corporate compliance.

Alyson also has experience at IQVIA as a Sr. Site Contracts Associate, where they managed the review and negotiation of contracts and budgets for various studies. Alyson received the Silver Impact Award for exceeding team and sponsor expectations and trained colleagues in negotiation processes and strategies.

Earlier in their career, Alyson worked at PPD as a Sr. Site Contract Specialist and then as a Site Contract Specialist. Alyson managed negotiations for oncology, ophthalmology, and neurology studies and mentored other contract specialists. Alyson was recognized with awards for their contributions and led training for complex studies.

Outside of the clinical research industry, Alyson held positions as the Director of Operations at NBC Benefits, Inc, where they provided support and improved communications with vendors and subcontractors. Alyson also founded and managed Discounting Hunger, a not-for-profit organization that provided essential supplies to those in need.

Alyson's previous work experience includes freelance technical writing and editing, contract negotiation as a consultant, managing a real estate marketing start-up, and serving as an editorial director at ValueStar, where they supervised staff and remained under budget while achieving production goals.

Throughout their career, Alyson has demonstrated strong skills in contract management, negotiation, process improvement, team leadership, and communication. Alyson holds a JD degree and is dedicated to making a positive impact in the field of contract and legal affairs.

Alyson Kaye, JD has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication and Rhetoric from SUNY Geneseo. Alyson then attended New England Law | Boston to obtain their Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Additionally, they pursued further education at Boise State University, focusing on Mediation and Conflict Resolution. Alyson also studied Government Contract Management at UCLA. Alyson has certifications in Ethical Guidelines and Mediation Techniques for High Conflict Disputes from the Idaho 4th District Court, as well as a California State Bar License obtained from the State Bar of California.
