Lyhour(Lee) Lay

Lyhour (Lee) Lay has a diverse range of work experience. Starting in 2017, they attended the Summer Engineering Institute at the University of California San Diego, where they took engineering and major-related courses. In 2018, Lyhour interned at Mie University, conducting research on pelvic parameters and developing MATLAB scripts for data analysis. Lyhour(Lee) continued their research work at Mie University in 2019, analyzing spine data after surgery. Lyhour also held various roles at the University of California San Diego, including Residential Assistant, Orthopaedic Surgery Research Assistant, Membership Development Coordinator, Peer Facilitator for the Summer Engineering Institute, and Orientation Leader. Additionally, Lyhour completed an internship as a Research Associate at Crown Bioscience, Inc., where they managed cell lines, trained new employees, and collaborated with study directors to improve processes. Currently, Lyhour works as a Software Engineer at Vial since April 2022.

Lyhour (Lee) Lay has a solid educational background with a focus on engineering and software development. In 2021, Lyhour completed a program in Software Engineering at App Academy. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2021, Lyhour pursued a degree in Bioengineering at the UC San Diego Jacobs School of Engineering, specializing in the field of Biotechnology.

In addition to formal education, Lyhour has also obtained certifications to further enhance their skill set. In 2017, Lyhour received certification in Interpersonal Relationships through a seminar facilitated by the Student Org Advisor at UCSD. Moreover, Lyhour has a Lean Six Sigma White Belt Certification, acquired from The Council for Six Sigma Certification (CSSC). The exact timing of when the Lean Six Sigma certification was obtained is not provided.
